For this 10-20-30 assignment I interviewed My Stepmom and my dad, who are about the same age, but my dad listened to music from the 70's more, and my Stepmom listened to music from the 60's more. My dad said that he enjoys listening to the song Abbey Road by The Beatles. The reason he likes this song is because The Beatles were a huge success, and a huge part of my fathers teens and twenties. My dad has always loved the beatles, and this song is very meaningful to him he said because the music is very pure, and their a generally great band. The album Abbey Road was released in 1970, but the actual song and single Abbey Road was released in 1970 as well, but earlier.
Bellow is some more information on events that happened in 1970 as well:
In 1970 the largest rock concert in the world took place. This concert was called woodstock.Jimi Hendrix, The Who, The Doors, and many other bands whos names still live on through history to this day. The concert went on for a whole weekend, and about 33 bands would play throughout the festival. Sometimes, the concert would be rained on, but it didn't stop thousands and thousands of people from coming to watch and hear and expirience their favorite musicians live.
Another event that happened in 1970 was earth day. Earth day is celebrated all over to raise awareness for this planet, because it's very important for us to treat our planet and our environments with respect. The year 1970 was when the hippies, and drugs were at their peak. Smoke was commonly everywhere, but nobody really knew the consequences of that, or really cared. The man who thought of this idea was named Gaylord Nelson along with a U.S. senator who had seen an oil spill in Santa Barbara greatly affect the people there, and the environment/earth there.
My Stepmom chose the song Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison because she loves the instrumental and Van Morrison's melody and flowing voice. She told me that she loves how happy the song is, and that whenever she hears it she thinks of me. The song was written and recorded in 1967, by Van Morrison and produced by Bang records.
In 1967 The United States sent 475,000 Americans serving in the war in vietnam. There were more and more peace rallies as the war grew larger and larger. People's lives were being taken, and the flower power children weren't happy about it. they felt like they were being attacked and their families were being taken from them.
Write a plan that is designed to enrich the Q3 BM: 10-20-30. The plan should include a statement about each of the following:
Design (CARP)
For my design I would like to improve the fonts to match the music styles, if that makes sense. I would also like to order my writing and my articles in a different sort.
My knowledge and information is all accurate, but I need to put in my links to the direct information that I accessed (but rewrote in my own words).
Application (Music - info, summary, audio file)
My music still needs to be uploaded, I think I’m going to go on my dads laptop and post his itunes songs of the two songs that I studied and researched.
I will double check all of my grammar. I will also have my dad check it, to make sure everything makes sense. For the most part I’m a compulsive speller so I think I’m pretty good in this area.
